A moment

Shamus and I are somewhat unconnected from the outside world, as we don't have a tele. I do obviously have internet, NPR and CB News, which fill in the main bits of news. I read a fellow blogger's post (Daz H) yesterday regarding what has happened in Japan and it just made me realize I need to take a moment. I know with media today some of you may be over-saturated with information on the subject, but for myself I just felt like I wanted to stop for a minute and take stock of how lucky I am. So, today no song of the day as I guess a moment of silence in my little corner of the world to think about all of the families in Japan and all over the world that are feeling the ripples of last week's events. I have used this quote before in a sad time, but I felt it appropriate again:
"‎Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awake in the morning's hush I am the soft uplifting rush of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry I am not there. I did not die." Anonymous

Peace...

I need to be more diligent in telling you things. I woke up the morning after it happened and honestly felt like there was a gaping hole in the world. Completely unbearable..

No TV in our house either.
I am praying that people in Japan, and all over the world, will find strength and courage to keep on caring and loving. DIsasters happen and we survive only if we remember we are in it together.
This is a beautiful poem.
