Song of the day - Eurythmics ~ Here Comes The Rain Again
It's actually sunny, as sunny can be today and no rain...WHOOPA. It was difficult to pick a song from these guys though as I like them all.

Traveling Girl
Song of the day - Della Miles ~ Traveling Girl
Love this lady's pipes, Shamus' godfather got a chance to sing with her recently as they both live in Berlin. I am also jealous that I am NOT at the moment a traveling girl.

Upping the mileage with photos
Last weekend was a 14 mile and this past weekend was a 16 mile and I took a couple of photos during the adventures:
The road behind me towards Red Lady
Snowshoe hare tracks
A little more than halfway through the 14
and a view of the Anthracites
The ultimate "shit sandwich," a driveway that hadn't been plowed along the run.
The berm was nearly as tall as I am
I liked this U-topped tree
Cynther almost to the top at Wildcat and hopefully no dog-cussing
Both good runs, last weekend it was mid 30's and I was running in a short-sleeved t shirt and the only bummer part was running on Kebler...crazy drivers and slick roads. Saturday, Cynther joined me for 10 of the 16, which was AWESOME and it was not as warm, but still a lovely day to be out. Especially considering that we woke up to 8 inches of snow yesterday with 30 mph gusts of wind!

I'm Still Waiting
Song of the day - Bob Marley ~ I'm Still Waiting
I'm not usually wooed by reggae, but this is Bob in his early years where it's a little reggae and a little motown...LOVE this entire CD, but I'm a nut for motown

Random 3
Here goes:
1. This is what I felt like walking to do my errands today with 30-40 mph wind gusts, but at least I got out:

2. I was a bonehead and/or half asleep yesterday as I was walking down the stairs to let the dogs out and fell three quarters of the way down the stairs luckily landed on my bum, which is padded, but that also means that the gluteous maximus is SORE today! No photos, as I would scare away the few folks that visit this little site from time to time.
3. A little joke I heard: What’s a chiropractor’s pick-up line? What’s a joint like this doing in a nice girl like you.

Random 3
I finally feel like I might have an interesting couple of things to say so here goes:
1. Our oven which has been a point of frustration and rage for the last 6 months or so. We let the property management company know a couple of times that something seemed to be amiss. Pushing the button to turn the oven on would gain no response. So, in my expert sleuthing I figured out that sometimes it helped to turn a burner (gas stove) on the top on and then the igniter for the oven would click...SOMETIMES being the operative word. I use the oven A LOT and at first, eh it wouldn't turn on once in a blue moon. Then, it spiraled out of control and pretty much would only turn on about 5% of the time. Again, we smell gas when this process happens and were waiting for it to ignite and blast the oven door through our dining room. The property management company didn't seem to concerned about this. So, in the last week Shamus has used the oven a couple of times and it wasn't working. Unlike my sleuthing, he thought it was helpful to slam the broiler drawer to help encourage this to turn on and even gave it an assisting kick, but only increased his rage when the oven did not respond. I again called the management company and magically they sent an appliance man to fix it yesterday. So, long story short the oven works, yippee, dented broiler drawer and all!!!
2. I'm copying off Pam and including a bit from our "Busted in the Butte" giving the goings on of the CB Marshal's office from the week prior. Last week - "An individual was cited and fined for urinating outside a local bar." It went on to say as you would think it was at midnight, OH NO this was at noon and about a block away from the public restroom. HA!
3. My Friday Valentine, Funderson, and I are going to see "The King's Speech" this evening...SOOO EXCITED!
Peace...

Star Wars awesomeness
Song of the day - The Truthseekers ~ To Get By/ Star Wars Remix
OK so Cynther sent me this one, the first 2 minutes, 30 seconds are kind of bad news because the band is pretty lame other than the chic with the big voice, but the last bit is FREAKIN' AWESOME...I am a Star Wars nerd though. Not the dress up kind, but a real admirer fo sho.

An ode to the Chinese new year of the rabbit and since Mrs. Bigstuff, my rabbit who passed 3 years ago, was a pretty tough lady rabbit and this was the song that I sang to her, I thought I'd share...
